The news agency ANI quoted the Indian Army as tweeting that the two armies were confronted near the northern shore of Pangong Lake. It is being said that Indian and Chinese army soldiers clashed with each other after a major military exercise by India on the Chinese border.

Indian Army: There was a face-off between soldiers of the Indian Army and Chinese Army near the northern bank of the Pangong lake. The face-off was over after the delegation-level talks between two sides there. De-escalated & disengaged fully after delegation-level talks.

The Indian Army said in a statement that after the delegation-level talks between the two sides, the situation has become normal. India and China assert their right over land spread over 130 km between controlled Tibet territory. Coincidentally, the confrontation took place in the same area, where Indian and Chinese soldiers had fired during the Doklam standoff. At the same time, this thing came to light a few days after the Indian army denied reports of Chinese army infiltration into Arunachal Pradesh.

India is preparing for the exercise:

India is rapidly building infrastructure along the borders with China that modernized its side of the disputed Line of Actual Control a long time ago. The Indian Army is preparing to conduct a large scale war exercise in Arunachal Pradesh near the India-China border. The name of this exercise is Himvijay. In it, the Air Force and Army will jointly practice the actual combat scenario within the Indian border, which will be a battle on the Eastern Front.
