In a major success, Border Security Force (BSF) foiled an infiltration attempt from the Pakistani side near Attari Railway Station along the International Border in Punjab. The intruder was shot dead at an area near the Railway track which is more than 300 meters inside the Indian territory. The incident took place in between the same tracks from where Samjhautha Express crosses over to Pakistan’s Wagah border; the train was suspended by both India and Pakistan after the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
BSF guns down intruder:

A case has been registered against the person for illegally entering India without documents. We have sent the body for further medicolegal proceeding,” an official of Railway Police told Republic.
